Vista Promenade Rendering

A long-awaited shopping center near Orlando International Airport could bring with it hundreds of permanent jobs, joining an estimated 500 temporary construction jobs.

Beachwood, Ohio-based DDR Corp. (NYSE: DDR) is developing a 259,461-square-foot retail complex just north of the airport in the Lee Vista neighborhood.

The estimated $51 million project, dubbed Lee Vista Promenade, also could create an estimated 300 permanent jobs, according to documents submitted to the city. Tenants include a 51,116-square-foot, 1,425-seat movie theater, along with a 28,000-square-foot grocery store, seven restaurants and more, a site plan showed.

"The Shopping Center Group" is now actively marketing this project(*) to attract potential tenants(*), including Epic Theaters(*).
